An NGO for culture, education and the people who carry them forward.
CPP (Center for Projects Plovdiv) is an independent NGO promoting cultural heritage, civic participation and inclusive education. Established in 2011, it works across art, science and community development to build sustainable, democratic societies.
It empowers youth and marginalized groups through creative industries, STEAM education and volunteerism — delivering non-formal learning, intercultural events and digital innovation projects, backed by research that informs policy and expands access to culture.
The team's expertise spans volunteer management, project development, youth work, economics, marketing and cultural research — letting CPP address complex challenges with solutions rooted in cultural awareness, evidence-based methods and international collaboration. Its research uses mixed methods, from surveys to focus groups, to identify the educational, social and cultural needs of diverse populations, feeding directly into monitoring and evaluation systems built with universities and independent researchers.
Internationally, CPP has built strategic partnerships across Italy, Romania and Bulgaria operating under the UN Agenda 2030 framework, expanding its work in cultural diplomacy, artist and youth mobility, and transnational knowledge exchange. Its publishing record includes the bilingual book NGO — A Bridge between Art and Business, reflecting its standing at the interface of civil society, creative economies and academic scholarship.
CPP is a founding member of the ECoC Volunteer Managers Network, and built Bulgaria's first volunteer structure for a European Capital of Culture.
